Calyos

Overview

Calyos is a Belgian cooling technology company developing loop heat pipe (LHP) passive two-phase cooling systems for high-performance computing hardware. The company traces its lineage through ESA (European Space Agency-related work) and EHP before becoming Calyos. Its core innovation is a passive refrigerant-based cold plate that uses capillary wicking to transport heat without pumps, targeting the large segment of data center racks below 50kW where liquid cooling infrastructure overhead is hard to justify but air cooling is becoming inadequate. Calyos has partnered with Valeo — a €20.9B automotive thermal supplier — for volume manufacturing, providing a credible path from prototype to mass production.
