Overview

Edison Scientific is a for-profit company spun out of Future House, a nonprofit research organization, in November 2025. Co-founded by Andrew White, the company is headquartered in the Dog Patch neighborhood of San Francisco, where it operates a wet lab. Edison Scientific builds AI-powered platforms for scientific discovery, combining large-scale literature and patent corpora with long-running autonomous research agents.

Since its November 2025 launch, Edison Scientific has served over 2 million queries and onboarded 65,000 new users. Its platform indexes 175 million papers, 120 million patents, and all FDA clinical trials, providing a foundation for its suite of scientific AI products.
