Equinix is a global colocation data center operator with more than 250 data centers across 70+ countries, providing interconnection and co-location services to enterprises, cloud providers, and network operators. Unlike hyperscalers that operate exclusively proprietary infrastructure, Equinix hosts third-party workloads and must design facilities to accommodate diverse customer cooling requirements. Equinix is one of the seven industry partners aligned on the 30°C coolant temperature standard for direct-to-chip liquid cooling, reflecting the colocation sector's adoption of liquid cooling as a mandatory capability for high-density AI workload customers.
