Overview

Formerica Optoelectronics is a Taiwan-based optical transceiver manufacturer that leads the OCP Immersion Component Validation workstream. The company provides test facilities and optical component expertise for validating active optical cables (AOCs), direct attach copper (DAC) cables, and related high-speed interconnects in immersion cooling environments. Formerica's workstream addresses a critical gap: high-speed optical interfaces designed for air environments may degrade in dielectric fluids, and no standard validation protocol existed before this effort.
