In Vivo CAR-T Therapy
Overview
Non-viral approach that programs T-cells inside the patient's body using targeted nucleic acid delivery, avoiding the complexity of ex vivo cell manufacturing. In vivo CAR-T approaches avoid lentiviruses and mRNA by delivering immune-quiet single-stranded DNA via targeted LNPs directly into the patient, reprogramming T-cells inside the body without ex vivo cell manufacturing. The single-stranded DNA vectors used in CBTX's in vivo CAR-T platform are 7,000 bases long and cannot be sourced as a commodity; microbial fermentation is required to produce meaningful quantities, and none of the components have yet been administered to human patients.
