Liquid Cooling Filtration

Overview

Liquid cooling filtration encompasses the standards and practices for filtering coolant in thermal cooling systems (TCS) to protect cold plate microchannels from particulate fouling. At the 2024 OCP Global Summit, TCS filtration was identified as a critical contribution gap in the OCP Cooling Environments project; inadequate filtration standards risk microchannel fouling and degraded thermal performance.
