Masahisa Kawashima

Overview

Masahisa Kawashima serves as Technology Working Group Chair at IOWN Global Forum. At OCP Global Summit 2025 in San Jose, he presented the forum's three-layer infrastructure co-evolution framework (Open APN, Deterministic Networking, Data-Centric Infrastructure) and proposed a formal joint collaboration with OCP across edge-cloud convergence, distributed data centers, and open AI infrastructure with optical interconnects. His call to action was a fit-and-gap analysis and joint roadmap between OCP and IOWN, with IOWN handling functional architecture and vertical use cases while OCP develops product specifications and engages implementers.
