Michael Lane

Overview

Michael Lane is Vice President of Networking at Hyve Solutions, an ODM and systems integrator focused on hyperscale infrastructure. At OCP Global Summit 2025, he presented a framework for next-generation switch architecture requirements for AI data centers, covering the five key networking requirements (bandwidth, latency, telemetry, security, topology), emerging trends including DLC-cooled switches and AI-based SDN orchestration, and a 2025–2030 roadmap projecting switch ASIC scaling from 51.2T to 204.8T and topology migration from Clos to Dragonfly. He also presented OCP's new Open Systems for AI (OSAI) initiative.
