Nan Zhang has worked at Henlius for 16 years overseeing the IND organization and was involved in semaglutide development since 2001 while at a Boston-based company. Nan Zhang co-architected the Henlius-BMS collaboration announced in May 2026 valued at $15.2 billion, exchanging four immuno-oncology assets from Henlius for four autoimmunity assets from BMS plus five joint discovery programs.
