Overview

PCIe Gen 6 is the next generation of the PCIe interface, rapidly gaining traction in storage. It brings higher clock speeds, including a move from I2C to I3C for the device management interface. Test-tool vendors are racing to support it: Sanblaze is shipping Gen 6 test tooling now, treating being first to market as critical.
