Overview

Radical AI is a materials science company that combines closed-loop AI with robotics to accelerate materials discovery. The entire prior scientific literature had accumulated roughly 3,000 such alloys over 50 years. Radical AI's primary target market is the aerospace industry, where oxidation performance, hardness, and ductility are critical specifications. Krause identified a key structural gap: unlike biology's Protein Data Bank, no equivalent curated dataset exists for materials science, leading Radical AI to build a proprietary materials data flywheel.
