Overview

Rakuten Mobile is a Japanese mobile network operator with approximately 10 million subscribers, operating an end-to-end cloud-native network since 2020. Rakuten Mobile is a pioneer in open networking adoption in the telecom sector, having built its network on virtualized infrastructure from inception. Its subsidiary Rakuten Symphony is applying the same approach to build Europe's first virtualized mobile network, exporting the cloud-native model internationally.
