TCT (Thermal Control Technology)

Overview

TCT (Thermal Control Technology) is a Chinese company focused on thermal management products for ICT infrastructure. Although TCT does not manufacture coolant directly, the company views coolant quality as critical to the performance of its liquid cooling products and has identified pure water coolant as a preferred technology route over formulated chemical coolants. TCT developed the medium purification module (MPM) — an ion-exchange resin cartridge — as the core component enabling pure water coolant systems to operate long-term with low maintenance. TCT ran a five-year verification project on a Core Switch Server Liquid Cooling System in Guizhou Province, China (July 2018 – June 2023), demonstrating pure water coolant viability in unmanned operation: conductivity 6.71 µS/cm, pH 6.7, turbidity 0.0 NTU, no microbial pipeline attachment, and only one MPM replacement required across the full five-year span.
