Terra Therapeutics is an AI-first small molecule biotech founded approximately 7.5 years before UNLOCK 2026. The company's core platform, Emmy (Experimentation Meets Machine Intelligence), is built on 16 billion precise target-ligand binding measurements growing at roughly 1 billion data points per quarter. On top of this proprietary dataset Terra has trained a foundation model of chemistry on 1 billion+ data points. Internally, the company focuses on small molecules and immunology; partnership programs target other areas of unmet need.

Terra's co-founder Eli Berlin has become a prominent voice on the strategic implications of AI-driven drug discovery. Berlin predicted an incoming "era of pipeline abundance" driven by AI productivity gains, and argues that the remaining unsolved problem is capital formation and finance — something AI cannot directly fix. Partners include Gilead, Bristol Myers Squibb, Calico, and Odyssey Therapeutics.
