ADP Parameter Files

Overview

ADP/parameter files let OCP compliance tests match what a drive's firmware reports for specific test points, increasing the accuracy of test results. They are required for a fully compliant OCP run: without a parameter file, in Rick Walsh's words, the results are "kind of bogus," and the ADP file is needed at final qualification. To balance accuracy against debug speed, Sanblaze introduced two run modes — a full compliance mode that uses the parameter file, and a conformance/factory/ADP-override mode that skips it for faster debug and triage during earlier phases of development.
