CHIPS Alliance

Overview

CHIPS Alliance is an open-source hardware organization that delivers the canonical OCP lock implementation as part of Caliptra. While the OCP lock key hierarchy can be implemented on top of any existing security hardware, the name "lock" is reserved: only the actual lock implementation delivered by CHIPS Alliance as part of Caliptra, using its stratification, may be called lock. Vendors may build the key hierarchy themselves, but such an implementation cannot bear the lock name unless it is the CHIPS Alliance Caliptra implementation.
