DMTF

Overview

DMTF (Distributed Management Task Force) is the industry standards organization that owns and publishes the Redfish hardware management standard (ISO/IEC 30115-1:2022). DMTF maintains the Redfish Thermal Equipment model that defines the standard data structures for managing liquid cooling infrastructure — CDUs, immersion tanks, cold plates, and rear-door heat exchangers. DMTF operates in formal alliance with ASHRAE (since 2017) for property naming consistency, and with OCP as the primary source of cooling-specific Redfish extensions. OCP-originated model extensions are submitted to the DMTF Redfish Forum and published in official Redfish releases, enabling faster innovation than would be possible through ASHRAE's longer publication cycle.
