Flex
Overview
Flex (formerly Flextronics) is a global electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company that, in the data center space, claims end-to-end vertical coverage from the utility grid to the chip: utility power pods, medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, low-voltage switchgear, busway, battery backup units (BBUs), power supply units (PSUs), power modules, IT rack hardware, rack integration, and liquid cooling CDUs. At OCP Global Summit 2025, Rob Campbell and Chris Butler positioned Flex as unique in covering this complete stack, and launched a pre-fabricated, pre-commissioned integrated platform that can reduce data center deployment timelines from a baseline of 18 months by approximately one-third. Flex was actively building 1 MW rack prototypes at 400 V DC for customers planning near-term deployments, with a live demo in the OCP booth featuring a 1 MW power cabinet, a 1 MW liquid-cooled IT rack, and a 1.8 MW CDU side by side.
