LITEON Technology
Overview
LITEON Technology is a Taiwan-based power electronics manufacturer that has supplied GPU power solutions since 2017. The company has been a consistent supplier across multiple GPU architecture generations: collaborating with NVIDIA on the first-generation 50V / 3 kW GPU power module (2017), serving as key supplier for the 5.2 kW GPU power module used in OpenAI applications, and achieving the GB300 NVL72 input power smoothing solution for AI workloads. As of 2025, LITEON is delivering power solutions for three GPU generations simultaneously.
LITEON's product roadmap spans three architecture eras: embedded in-server PSUs (3–5.5 kW, 2017–2023), in-rack centralized power shelves (33 kW and 110 kW at 50 VDC, 2024–2025), and 800 VDC sidecar power racks (100 kW shelves and 1.2 MW rack, 2025–2026). The 33 kW V2 power shelf for GB300 uses six 5.5 kW PSUs in single-phase 6+0 configuration. The 110 kW shelf uses three-phase 415–480 Vac input with six 18.3 kW PSUs, achieving 100%+ increase in energy storage per watt versus the 33 kW shelf despite only 11% power density improvement. The 1.2 MW power rack (800 VDC output, 16 × 100 kW shelves, 4-to-3 redundancy) is targeting early 2026 for mature sample delivery.
Key innovations include digital PFC control with increased bulk capacitance (40% more than GB200) to screen out GPU dynamic load transients, preventing AC input current spikes up to ~150% overshoot during idle-to-full-load GPU transitions.
