Optamax Bulk Cable

Overview

Optamax is Luxshare-Tech's 224G twinax bulk cable product family for cable backplane and cable cartridge applications. Available from 26 to 31 AWG with 92-ohm impedance, Optamax uses a dual ground pin and dual flat drain wire design to maintain low bandwidth loss in extreme bending conditions — a critical requirement for high-density cable cartridge configurations where cables undergo sharp bends within the rack chassis. Production is 100% automated in-house, ensuring consistent die-electrical and SI performance.

In Luxshare-Tech's full channel budget stack, 31 AWG Optamax twinax of 1500 mm contributes 9.75 dB insertion loss (at 0.65 dB/100mm at 53 GHz), a major component of the total 24.13 dB bump-to-bump figure for the Intrepid NEXUS system.
