Sanjoy Maity

Overview

Sanjoy Maity is the Chief Executive Officer of AMI (American Megatrends International). He presented AMI's approach to meeting the scalability demands of rack-scale AI infrastructure through open-source firmware at OCP Global Summit 2025. His position is that firmware is a foundational, non-negotiable component of hardware: "A hardware without a firmware is not the complete hardware." AMI's strategy is to "build, secure, scale, and deliver consistently" — addressing scalability, security, standardization, commoditization, and sustainability. AMI's open-source maintenance effort for the ODM community amounts to approximately 54,000 engineering hours annually.
