Overview

CEO-level cross-industry collaboration for sustainable supply chains, set up by King Charles with Health Systems Task Force chaired by AstraZeneca CEO Pascal Soriot, publishing joint supplier targets. The Sustainable Markets Initiative was set up by then Prince Charles (now King Charles); its Health Systems Task Force is chaired by AstraZeneca CEO Pascal Soriot and is a CEO round table of eight pharmaceutical companies that sets joint supplier standards and targets. The SMI published a joint supplier targets letter signed by chief procurement officers of GSK, AstraZeneca, Roche, and other companies covering climate, nature, and human rights; Saint-Gobain described the updated letter (published November 2025) as pivotal for driving supply chain sustainability.
