Trusted Computing Group

Overview

The Trusted Computing Group (TCG) is an industry standards body that develops and publishes specifications for hardware-based security technologies, including Trusted Platform Module (TPM), secure boot, and key management interfaces. TCG specifications are implemented across server, storage, and network infrastructure.

At OCP Global Summit 2025, TCG's collaboration with OCP on the OCP Lock key management standard was highlighted as a critical extension enabling the Caliptra open-source root of trust to reach the host system layer.
