Anthony Constantine

Overview

Anthony Constantine is an EDSFF specification contributor who, describing himself as the panel's "resident troublemaker," reviewed the past year of EDSFF specification work and the next set of problems for the form factor family at the 2025 OCP Global Summit. He explained that the SFF-TA-1002 connector was improved partly because it is also used by OCP NIC 3.0, and that the orthogonal connector was extended beyond E1 to support E2 and E3. He noted the EDSFF power section was reworked to be defined by what the connector supports — up to 79.2 watts — with everything else based on device thermals. Looking forward, he framed SSD liquid cooling and PCIe 7.0 as the next major problems, calling for one industry-standard cooling solution so SSD and host makers do not each invent their own.
