Brijesh Warrier
Overview
Brijesh Warrier is VP of Engineering at Microsoft who led a cross-company V-team spanning Microsoft, NVIDIA, and OpenAI to address power instability from AI training workloads. The collaboration, approximately 2.5 years in duration as of October 2025, produced a joint research paper on power stabilization for AI training data centers and three complementary mitigation approaches: NVIDIA's GPU Min Power Floor hardware feature, Microsoft's Firefly software mitigation, and a roadmap for rack-level energy storage. Warrier presented the problem statement and high-level solution framework at OCP Global Summit 2025, framing AI training data centers at 300 MW–1 GW scale as creating grid-destabilizing power oscillations that utilities were not equipped to handle.
