Data Center SAS Specification

Overview

The OCP data center SAS specification defines requirements for SAS storage in data centers. Version 1.5 was contributed to OCP in 2025 through a collaboration of Microsoft, Dell, HPE, and Meta, and is published on the OCP website. Feedback on the specification is managed by Dave Landsman at Western Digital (WDC) through the OCP CLA process.
