Matt Bromage

Overview

Matt Bromage is an engineer at ARM working on next-generation storage controllers. His storage-industry career spans Western Digital, Seagate, and Sandforce (acquired by LSI, then Avago, then Seagate), giving him multi-generational perspective on NVMe controller design. At OCP Global Summit 2025 he co-presented "Experiences in Designing a Better NVMe Controller" with Tim Amundsen of ScaleFlux, covering the collaborative work between ARM and ScaleFlux on the next generation of NVMe SoCs and presenting the ARM Cortex-R82 architecture in detail.
