SFF-TA-1002 Connector
Overview
The SFF-TA-1002 connector is the EDSFF connector specification. It is also used by OCP NIC 3.0, which prompted requested improvements to the spec over the past year. Its six power pins, rated at 1.1A times 12 volts, yield 79.2 watts — so although the device spec defines up to 80 watts, the connector's real capability is 79.2W, and higher future power needs may exceed the current form factor. The connector's capability became the basis for the reworked EDSFF power definitions. PCIe 7.0 is expected to require further changes to this base/connector spec.
