Overview

Brent Cheng is a senior manager in the thermal design department at Inventec, an ODM and systems integrator. At OCP Global Summit 2025, he presented collaborative work on dielectric cooling systems combining Perstorp's synthetic ester fluids with Intel SuperFluid technology. He characterized Inventec's conventional corporate-level liquid cooling leak mitigation as "very complex and expensive" — requiring liquid detection wire/boards, drip pan warning mechanisms integrated with BMC/RNC, and active electronic valves on manifolds — and argued that switching to dielectric coolant with Intel SuperFluid technology offers simpler architecture, lower leak-risk concern, and reduced maintenance cost.
